ActionAid: $20,000 For humanitarian relief in Haiti.

Alliance for Justice: $7,000 a) For general support of this organization, which works to advance the cause of justice for all Americans, strengthen the public interest community's ability to influence public policy, and foster the next generation of advocates ($2,000); and b) for its 25 th Anniversary Luncheon ($5,000).

International Center for Research on Women: $7,000 For general support of this organization, which works to improve the lives of women in poverty, advance women's equality and human rights, and contribute to broader economic and social well-being, through research, technical assistance, capacity building, and policy communications.

Knowledge is Power Program: $7,000 For general support of this organization, which supplies students with the academic and character skills needed to succeed in high school, college, and the competitive world beyond.

Management Assistance Group: $3,500 To provide subsidies for organizational assistance to small needy organizations.

MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger: $5,000 To support the second annual Chanukah-themed, hunger and poverty-focused educational newsletter to help disseminate its social justice message.

Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF): $50,000 a) For emergency medical care and other relief services in Haiti ($20,000); and b) for its emergency relief fund. ($30,000)

National Partnership for Women and Families: $7,000 For general support of this organization, which promotes fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men balance work and family responsibilities.

National Trust for Historic Preservation: $3,500 To provide curriculum materials for students and teachers.

Neighbors' Consejo: $7,000 For general support of this organization, which provides individual and group-level intervention and leadership development programs for the homeless and low-income populations of Washington, DC, particularly for immigrants in the Mount Pleasant, Columbia Heights, and Adams Morgan neighborhoods.

Parents Action for Children: $3,000 For general support of this organization, which promotes public policies that help ensure that children have the physical well-being and the social, emotional and cognitive abilities they need to enter school ready to succeed.

See Forever/Maya Angelou Public Charter School: $3,500 For general support of this organization, which provides support for a public charter school that provides a holistic educational program for teens involved in the juvenile justice system.

Southern Center for Human Rights: $3,500 For general support of this organization, which engages in litigation, public education and advocacy to protect the rights of people prosecuted in the criminal courts and confined in southern prisons.

The Posse Foundation: $3,500 To fund the DC branch of The Posse Foundation.

The Potomac Conservancy: $3,500 For general support of this organization, whose mission is to protect and enhance the natural, scenic, recreational, and historical qualities of the Potomac River and its watershed lands.

Wider Opportunities for Women: $2,000 For general support of this organization, which seeks to increase its capacity and that of other community organizations to engage in local policy advocacy to address issues facing low-income District of Columbia residents.
