Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) – Public Education Association: $25,000 For technical assistance support to the Israeli and District of Columbia Public School Systems.

Corporation for Enterprise Development: $2,500 For general support of this organization, which works to bring together community practice, public policy and private markets in new and effective ways to achieve greater economic impact.

The DC Abortion Fund $10,000 For general support of this organization, which is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that covers the gap between what women can afford and the cost of an abortion, making the freedom of choice a reality for all women.

DC Public Library Foundation, Inc. : $5,000 For support of the development of a reading and literacy component to complement performances by the Washington Opera for the children of the District of Columbia.

Drum Major Institute: $1,000 For general support of this organization, a non-partisan, non-profit think tank which works to generate ideas that fuel the progressive movement.

Environmental Leadership Program: $35,000 For support of the ”Jack Vanderryn” fellowship initiative to train emerging environmental leaders in the Southeastern United States who have the ability or potential to work across issues and movements to develop broader and more powerful constituencies.

The Gillen Brewer School, Inc. : $14,000 For general support of this organization, which is dedicated to transforming the lives of young children with a wide variety of language, emotional, developmental, learning and health-related disabilities.

Global Heritage Fund: $5,000 For its Hampi India Project.

Harlem Day Charter School: $3,000 For general support of this organization, which partners with educators and families to create a stable, rigorous learning environment in which children may grow academically, socially, and morally.

Lance Armstrong Foundation: $2,000 For general support of this organization, which works to inspire and empower people affected by cancer.

Management Assistance Group: $ 5,000 For the Karl Mathiasen Fund, which provide organizational development assistance to social & enconomic justice organizations.

National Partnership for Women and Families: $10,000 For general support for this organization, which works to promote fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men balance work and family responsibilities.

The Posse Foundation: $10,000 For general support of this organization, which identifies, recruits and trains student leaders from public high schools to form multicultural teams called "Posses” in order to improve access to higher education.
