HUMAN RIGHTS AND ACCESS TO JUSTICE  $344,000

A. PROMOTING INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS

As You Sow:  $20,000  For its Leveraging the Market to Eradicate Slave Labor Project, which targets widespread forced labor and child labor in Uzbekistan's cotton production.  

Center for Victims of Torture:  $10,000  For general support of this organization, which works to heal the wounds of torture on individuals, their families, and their communities and to stop torture worldwide.  

Freedom Now:  $20,000  For general support of this organization, which promotes respect for human rights worldwide by working to free prisoners of conscience through targeted legal, political and public relations advocacy efforts. 

Fund for Global Human Rights:  $140,000  For general support of this organization, which provides funding to local human rights organizations around the world.   

International Labor Rights Forum:  $20,000  For general support of this organization, which is dedicated to achieving just and humane treatment for workers worldwide. 

Refugees International:  $30,000  For general support of this organization, which generates life saving humanitarian assistance and protection for displaced people around the world, and which works to end the conditions that create displacement.

B. ENSURING A FAIR AND IMPARTIAL JUDICIARY IN THE U.S.

Alliance for Justice:  $32,000  For general support of this organization, which seeks to ensure a fair and independent judiciary and equal access to the courts, and to protect and promote the rights of nonprofits to advocate for public policy.

American Constitution Society of Law and Policy:  $2,000  For general support of this organization, which works to ensure that the fundamental principles of human dignity, individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, and access to justice are in their rightful, central place in American law.  

Human Rights First:  $25,000  For general support of this organization, which promotes effective and principled U.S. human rights policies at home and abroad to expand the rule of law and ensure the dignity to which every individual is entitled.  

Justice At Stake:  $20,000  For general support of this organization, which works to keep courts fair and impartial through citizen education, civic engagement, and reform.
Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund
(LCCREF):  $25,000  For general support of this organization, which educates the public about the need for national policies that support civil rights and social and economic justice.
