A. PROMOTING INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS

As You Sow:  $20,000  For its Responsible Sourcing Network Project, which focuses on the eradication of egregious human rights abuses in the value chains of consumer goods. www.asyousow.org

Focus Project Ins./OMB Watch:  $5,000  For its Charity and Security Network Project, which works to eliminate unnecessary and counterproductive barriers to legitimate charitable peacebuilding and development work found in current counterterrorism measures. www.charityandsecurity.org

Freedom Now:  $20,000  For general support of this organization, which promotes respect for human rights worldwide by working to free prisoners of conscience through targeted legal, political and public relations advocacy efforts. www.freedomnow.org

Fund for Global Human Rights:  $300,000  For general support of this organization, which provides funding to local human rights organizations around the world; and for its for its fundraising and communication project, which seeks to increase its donor base and improve its communication strategy. www.globalhumanrights.org

Human Rights First:  $25,000  For general support of this organization, which seeks to promote effective and principled U.S. human rights policies at home and abroad to expand the rule of law and ensure the dignity to which every individual is entitled. www.humanrightsfirst.org

Institute for Policy Studies:  $125,000  For its Promoting Resource Rights in the Global Economy Project, which seeks to advance resource rights within the global economic system, bringing together advocates, activists and funders across silos and disciplines to identify and promote successful strategies to enforce these human rights within global economic institutions. www.ips.org and www.resourcerights.org

International Labor Rights Forum:  $20,000  For general support of this organization, which is dedicated to achieving just and humane treatment for workers worldwide. www.laborrights.org

Latin America Working Group Education Fund (LAWGEF): $35,000  For general support of this organization, which seeks to promote human rights in U.S. foreign policy towards Latin America. www.lawg.org

Public Interest Projects, Inc:  $1,500  For membership dues for the International Human Rights Funders Group, which seeks to support efforts to achieve the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the treaties and laws it has generated.

Refugees International:  $30,000  For general support of this organization, which generates life saving humanitarian assistance and protection for displaced people around the world, and which works to end the conditions that create displacement. www.refugeesinternational.org

Washington Office on Latin America(WOLA): $30,000  For general support of this organization, which promotes human rights, democracy, and social justice by working with partners in Latin America and the Caribbean to shape policies in the US and abroad. www.wola.org

B. ENSURING A FAIR AND IMPARTIAL JUDICIARY IN THE U.S.

Alliance for Justice:  $51,500  For general support of this organization, which provides non-profit organizations with the training and education they need to effectively advocate for public polices that benefit their constituencies and advance social justice. www.allianceforjustice.org
